Cocktail of the month
Agricole Coffee
By Enzo Cangemi from Ovest, New York
It’s freezing outside. Are you are looking for something to warm you up? Are you dreaming of sun bathing on a Caribbean beach? This cocktail is what you are looking for!
Agricole coffee is made with hot coffee and Rhum Agricole Damoiseau from Guadeloupe – a French Caribbean Island.
Rhum Damoiseau is the leading producer of Guadeloupe Rhum Agricole. The opposite of industrial rum distilled from molasses, Rhum Agricole begins with the finest selection of sugarcane, which are then pressed to extract the finest and most aromatic fresh sugarcane juice. It is distilled in the traditional way, inspired by great brandies, particularly by Armagnac of South Western France.
Try the recipe below and you will forget it’s snowing outside:
In a shaker
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 ounce DAMOISEAU VSOP
1 Expresso lungo
Blend it and microwave for 1 min.
Pour in a champagne cup
Add whipped cream at the top
Decoration:
Decorate with grated nutmeg and cinnamon
A word from Enzo: “My Italian roots inspired me for this recipe. The spicyness of Damoiseau VSOP pairs perfectly with a smooth Expresso Lungo. Perfect after dinner or just to keep you warm all day”.
Enzo’s tip: “Make your own vanilla infused whipped cream: add some vanilla extract to heavy cream and whip it!”
