Clement Introduces Two New Expressions In The US Market

With the explosive gain in interest towards “Agricole”-style Rums of late, Rhum Clément, one of the leading producers of AOC Martinique Rhum Agricole, is answering the call and adding two exquisite rums to its current US portfolio.

Considered the fundamental opposite of industrial rum distilled from molasses, a by-product of sugar production, the making of Rhum Agricole begins with the finest selection of sugarcane, which is pressed to extract fresh sugarcane juice, and then fermented and distilled to produce the end product. As a result, Rhum Agricole is highly regarded for its distinctive terroir driven quality. Unlike molasses-based rums, Rhum Agricole production must also adhere to the strict standards set forth by the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée of Martinique, an agricultural standard of quality that guarantees certain consistencies of excellence.
